As of end of February 2019, the 2020 Troubadours project is on and rolling!

The project staff containing Piet Decoster of Via Lactea BE, Claude Vadász of Flonflons FR, Dejan Vujinović of Etnofest RS and Violetta Vajda of Mediawave, have met for the second time in Tournai BE, to discuss details on the project activities and to organize the first events.

The project started with a great presentation of the project on February 28th in La Petite Fabriek – Tournai BE, and included solo acts of Ferenc Kovács the Hungarian violinist, Yuriy Gurzhy Ukrainian guitarist and composer living in Berlin, and the mighty Rumbaristas consisting of artists coming from Belgium, France and Spain.

The very next day, 2020 Troubadours moved to Brussels and in cooperation with the Hungarian Balassi Institute, organized the kick-off conference of the project. Previously mentioned artists were joined by a great accordionist Thibault Dille to complete the line up of the showcases. Some nice wines and food on the tables, media representatives and guests could have a first glimpse of what will happen within the 2020 Troubadours project. Among others, our Creative Europe programme officer, representatives of Balassi Institute and representatives of Autonomous province of Vojvodina office in Brussels were present at the event.
